The statement, posted on his website, reveals that although Perez's health remains critical but stable, he will undergo surgery in the near future due to significant blood loss and additional injuries sustained during the incident. The family's statement also called for media outlets and the public to respect their privacy, requesting that they cease any attempts at photographing Perez's children and refrain from lingering outside their home.
