"Highlander" Star Christopher Lambert Experiences Health Hiccup at Pittsburgh Comic-Con

In an unexpected turn of events, beloved '80s icon Christopher Lambert, best known for his role as the immortal Connor MacLeod in the cult classic 'Highlander', faced a health scare at this year's Steel City Comic-Con in Pittsburgh. On Saturday, during the bustling event, the French actor, aged 69, was engaging with fans when he suddenly experienced a medical incident, as reported by TMZ. Witnesses at the scene described him collapsing while signing autographs. Emergency services were swiftly called and Lambert was transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The organizers of Steel City Con also issued a statement regarding the incident, stating that Lambert had to depart the event due to a personal matter. Furthermore, they announced the cancellation of his photo op opportunity. A representative for the 'Mortal Kombat' star reportedly informed TMZ that Lambert is currently resting comfortably in his hotel room and is in good health overall. According to the spokesperson, the actor didn't get adequate sleep the night before the convention and had a low blood sugar level due to insufficient food intake throughout the day. The status of Lambert's appearance at Steel City Comic-Con on Sunday remains uncertain; however, it has been confirmed that he will be well enough to attend his scheduled engagement at FAN EXPO in Chicago next week. Page Six reached out to Lambert's representative for comment but did not receive an immediate response. Last year, the 'Highlander II: The Quickening' star faced another health scare when he injured his back after a fall down a flight of stairs at his hotel. The severity of the injury forced him to withdraw from an appearance at the Swedish festival SciFiWorld last March. At the time, Lambert's representatives expressed their regret about his inability to attend the comic con, stating that promoting his films and engaging with fans is always a priority for the actor. Unfortunately, the nature of this health incident prevented him from attending the convention this year.
