Gina Kirschenheiter Defends Shannon Beador Against Former 'RHOC' Producer's Allegations

In an unexpected turn of events, Gina Kirschenheiter has spoken out in defense of her fellow 'Real Housewives of Orange County' (RHOC) star, Shannon Beador. Despite their tumultuous past, the reality TV personality insists that she doesn't recognize the version of Beador described by former RHOC producer Patrick McDonald as a behind-the-scenes drama queen. In an Instagram post, McDonald, who worked on Season 18 before transitioning to an adult content career in 2025, accused Beador of "losing her s**t" and verbally abusing producers and crew members just before filming. He also labeled her as one of the most "miserable" and "narcissistic" housewives across the entire franchise. However, Kirschenheiter refuses to jump on the bandwagon, stating, "I've only known my relationships with the producers, and I feel like if he's referring to something, it's a private moment that I haven't necessarily seen." Although Kirschenheiter has witnessed Beador lose her cool during their time together on RHOC, she clarifies that viewers have also seen the circumstances surrounding these outbursts unfold on screen. "I've certainly seen Shannon have a moment," Kirschenheiter admits, "but let's look at what she's gone through on this show. Do I justify it? Have I ever done it? No." Kirschenheiter specifically highlights Season 18, which was particularly challenging for Beador as she navigated filming alongside her ex-boyfriend John Janssen and his then-girlfriend (now wife), Alexis Bellino. "When Shannon's dealing with the fear of her ex's feelings...and they showed all that," Kirschenheiter explains, "so, that to me, what they've shown, what you've seen, is what I've seen." Beador herself recently addressed McDonald's allegations on Jamie Kennedy's podcast 'Hate to Break It to Ya,' asserting that she was actually kind to the producer during that difficult season. "There's a producer who worked one season on our show, and it was Season 18 when I had to film with Alexis Bellino and others," Beador said, before insisting that she pushed back against claims of mistreating the crew: "No, mister, I cooked you dinner and sent you home with a to-go pack." As for Kirschenheiter and Beador's current relationship status, it seems the former frenemies are now on friendly terms. "I love Shannon," Kirschenheiter declares. Don't miss 'The Real Housewives of Orange County,' airing Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo, with new episodes available to stream the next day on Peacock.
